Cannabigerol, more commonly known as CBG, is one of many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. While THC and CBD are the two most widely known cannabinoids, CBG is growing in popularity as users discover its potential. The chemical makeup of the cannabis plant starts with cannabigerolic acid or CBGA. CBGA is typically broken down and integrated into the acids that eventually become THC, CBD, or CBC. Thus, there is very little CBG in most cannabis strains – less than 1%. However, more recently growers started working to produce plants with higher concentrations of CBG. This process usually takes the form of cross-breeding or genetic manipulation. A higher CBG content means the plant will have much lower concentrations of CBD and THC.

CBG oil taken daily will have no adverse effects. Some people even report feeling more energized and balanced when taking CBG oil daily.
